Employee Spotlight Mike Miller

Mike Miller Interview

Mike started with eduPARTS in the Summer of 2021 as a teardown associate, and quickly found his niche in shipping and inventory management. Less than a year later, he was promoted to Inventory Control Manager, overseeing both shipping and inventory departments for the entire company. Mike is extremely reliable and hardworking. A big strength of his is his ability to see a project through from beginning to end. If he recognizes something that we should implement, or that could be done more efficiently, he will make sure it is done no matter how tough the task. We are extremely lucky to have Mike as part of our team, and we are excited to see what else he is able to accomplish with eduPARTS!

5) What ideas have you had that have been implemented?

After our move we rearranged how inventory was stored in the warehouse; eliminating overstock locations. This change has reduced picking errors, and allows for more accurate control of inventory on-hand. Parts packing and storing has also been a primary focus. Ensuring that parts are of top quality, stored correctly, and shipments packaged safely. This allows customers to rely on us to get their devices back in service quickly.

6) What is something that you want to see implemented at eduPARTS?

Mike - Something I am currently working on is better customer visibility on backordered products. I am working with our carriers to create a report that accurately reflects when a part will arrive in our warehouse. This will provide a better level of visibility to our Account Managers and ultimately our customers.

7) What does EP do that separates us from the competition?

Mike - eduParts is dedicated to customer success; when you succeed we succeed. Every member of our team is focused, determined, and passionate about what we do. We include by extension the customer as a team member, working with them to ensure correct parts, specifications, ease of ordering, and timely delivery.
